Family Solicitor Job Description

We are seeking a talented Family Solicitor to join our team in Leeds. As a Family Solicitor, you will be responsible for handling a wide range of cases, including divorce, private children, non-molestation orders, and financial relief.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake compliance with all aspects of requirements imposed on a Solicitor by the Solicitors Act, Solicitors' Accounts Rules, and Trustee Accounts Rules.
  • Day-to-day handling of cases, including drafting documents and letters, and conducting matters on behalf of clients.
  • Attending court on directions hearings, first appointments, and financial dispute resolution appointments.
  • Preparing Legal Aid applications and liaising with the Legal Aid Agency, as necessary.
  • Achieving agreed personal targets in respect of fee income and recording of chargeable time.
Requirements:
  • Newly qualified or up to 4 years PQE with experience in Family Law.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
