Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant-Depositary Operations to join our team in the UK Depositary sub-team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the ongoing oversight of Alternative Fund Managers (AFMs) and their funds, risk management, and other activities related to the fund's lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (COLL & AIFMD) and fund-specific requirements for AFMs on a daily/periodic basis.
- Perform qualitative asset eligibility assessments (equities, bonds, structured products, derivatives, and corporate events).
- Conduct risk-related analysis, including liquidity monitoring, derivative exposure, and fair value pricing.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Depositary risk management frameworks for industry topics (e.g., ESG, SDR).
- Lead Fund Oversight reviews of scheme launch and change events.
- Build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders, including offshore locations, AFM equivalents, senior managers, and key contacts.
- Perform due diligence visits and produce associated reports.
- Manage team workloads and priorities to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
- Maintain and develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for offshore locations and present MI on an ongoing basis.
- Knowledge of Depositary duties and responsibilities.
- Understanding of fund products and operating structures, investment strategies, and asset classes.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of FCA regulations for Funds and Depositary responsibilities.
- Previous relevant risk management or compliance experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Effective communication and relationship management skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Good interpersonal and time management skills.
