Senior Bioinformatician
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Bioinformatician to contribute to the development of innovative bioinformatics capabilities at our Biotechnology company. This role will involve collaborating with our team of scientists and experts to advance our research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and improve bioinformatics workflows and tools for target and drug discovery.
- Establish and manage a robust bioinformatics data storage system, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Develop and process bioinformatics pipelines, working independently to deliver high-quality results.
- Communicate results clearly to collaborators and partners, and present findings in team meetings.
Essential Qualifications:
- PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or Computer Science, with relevant experience in transcriptomics analyses.
- Significant experience with mammalian genomics and transcriptomics, including prior experience in human genomics.
- Experience with long read RNA sequencing data analysis and implementation of NGS analysis pipelines for single-cell RNA sequencing, differential gene expression, and splicing analysis.
- Proficiency in computing languages, including R and/or Python, and statistical tools for biological interpretations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver high-quality data within deadline-driven workflows.
