Job Title: Commissioning Project Lead - Mechanical

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Project Lead - Mechanical to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our Propulsion Test Section, you will be responsible for providing technical and behavioural leadership, ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical commissioning projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team, ensuring the highest quality of work.
  • Lead and develop the team to achieve project objectives, implementing performance measures and ensuring the required team resource and experience.
  • Represent the company internally and externally, as required by contractual agreements.
  • Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with company policy, procedures, and legislation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and participate in project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of mechanical commissioning and project management.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and skills, with the ability to provide guidance and instruction to the team.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop the team.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mechanical testing and pressure and endurance testing.
  • ILM Level 2/CMI Level 3 or equivalent experience.
