Position: Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure patients receive top-tier care while producing high-quality imaging to facilitate their healthcare journey.
  • Conduct magnetic resonance imaging procedures adhering to best practice standards and regulatory guidelines.
  • Foster a supportive environment for patients throughout the MRI process, from initial referral to final results.
  • Perform routine quality assurance checks on imaging equipment and take necessary actions as required.
  • Respect and accommodate the diverse customs, values, and beliefs of patients and service users.
  • Manage patient bookings and maintain accurate and current patient information in systems.
  • Complete competency assessments and uphold all operational protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and enhance collective expertise.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Holds a BSc in Radiography or equivalent qualification.
  • Registered with a relevant professional body (HCPC).
  • Possesses a solid understanding of MRI physics and various scanning techniques.
  • Demonstrates professionalism and a commitment to high-quality work.
  • Exhibits a collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Familiar with data protection regulations and principles.
  • Flexible and willing to work across various shifts.
  • Strong team player with a caring and reliable disposition.
  • Able to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about advancing their career in radiography.

Experience Requirements:

  • Prior experience operating MRI equipment in clinical settings.
  • Familiarity with routine MRI examinations and eagerness to learn advanced techniques.
  • Participation in relevant training courses, including infection control and basic life support.
  • Knowledge of health and safety policies related to imaging.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
