About the Role
Cathay Investments is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Apprentice to join our central accounts team. As a Finance Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting with various financial tasks, including accounts payable, purchase ledger, and finance administration.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and process day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate coding and posting.
- Monitor financial transactions and reports, identifying any discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Process accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
- Assist with month-end finance processes, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Provide support to the finance team, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of financial systems, including Sage 50 and Sage 200.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification threshold for an apprentice in Maths and English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
