Production Team Leader

Avanti Personnel Limited is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to join their innovative business in Newton Aycliffe.
The successful candidate will oversee and coordinate daily operations to ensure efficient and timely production. They will collaborate with other departments to optimize productivity and meet production targets.
Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership:- Lead and motivate a team of manufacturing workers.
- Assign tasks and set daily production targets.
- Monitor team performance and provide guidance and training as needed.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate with production planning to ensure availability of materials, equipment, and resources.
- Establish and maintain production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor and adjust production processes to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and reduce waste.
- Identify bottlenecks or production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with quality control to ensure adherence to product specifications and standards.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, policies, and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles.
- Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement efficiency-enhancing projects and initiatives.
- Proven minimum two years' experience as a team leader or supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and production management principles.
- Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve production targets.
- Proficiency in using computer software and systems for production planning and reporting.
