Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Assistant Fashion Designer to join our Design team at our Head Office in High Wycombe. As a key member of our team, you'll work closely with our Buyer and Senior Design team to create designs that deliver key trends and meet our customers' needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and develop new product ideas by visiting inspirational shops, markets, and fabric fairs.
- Collaborate with our in-house print and textile experts to source relevant information for supplier packs.
- Visit key suppliers to action new samples and continually shop for new shapes, trims, and ideas.
- Spec designs to a high standard and work with your Buyer to ensure accurate sample interpretation.
- Present designs to the wider Design and Buying teams, ensuring a compelling picture of the design and product vision.
Requirements
- Proven experience at a similar level in a fashion business with strong technical design expertise.
- Authentic creative passion and eye, with an affinity for our signature 'relaxed glamour' ethos.
- Fantastic knowledge of cut and sew jersey, soft fabrications, and trims, with innovative ideas for using trims and mixing fabrications.
- Ability to demonstrate hand-drawn designs, CAD, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator skills.
