Job Summary

This is a unique and exciting opportunity for an individual who is searching for a niche role, in which they can develop their unique skill sets and distinguish themselves within the HCPC's Fitness to Practise department as a key authority on Investigating Committees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day implementation of Investigating Committees, autonomously addressing short and long-term challenges.
  • Provide leadership to the Fitness to Practice department, driving performance in case investigations' quality and timeliness.
  • Develop efficient processes for forecasting, prioritising, scheduling, and tracking fitness to practise cases.
  • Collaborate closely with the Tribunal Service to meet the demand for investigated cases.
  • Conduct thematic analysis of Investigating Committee decisions and share insights for staff and panel member development.
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation, policy, and procedure, offering ad hoc guidance to HCPC staff and panel members.
Requirements
  • Strong experience in using data and management information to plan high volumes of work for a team, ensuring that capacity meets demand and any areas for potential improvement have been identified.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, to negotiate modifications to existing tribunal capacity and instil improvements to processes.
  • Ability to interpret and apply a framework of legislation, policies and guidance and have the confidence to present to panel members and HCPC staff.
About the Role

This role is a key part of the HCPC's Fitness to Practise department, and the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day implementation of Investigating Committees.
