Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Dunelm in Derby. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and contributing to the success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customers leave with a positive impression and a lasting relationship with Dunelm.
  • Assist customers with queries, returns, and exchanges, resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales targets and maintain a high level of store presentation.
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and stock management, ensuring the store looks appealing and well-stocked at all times.

Requirements:

  • Previous retail experience, preferably in a customer-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the business.
  • Basic math skills and accuracy when handling cash and credit card transactions.
  • Ability to lift and move stock, as required.
