Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to take on a pivotal role within our established engineering team at Responsum Global Ltd. As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial part in the execution of diverse Design & Build initiatives as part of significant capital investment projects.
The ideal candidate will engage in all phases of project development, from initial feasibility studies and innovative design to comprehensive construction support, including site assessments and evaluations. Our approach emphasizes collaboration, providing opportunities to contribute to a wide range of projects across the water, wastewater, energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
In this role, you will be responsible for effective communication and collaboration with project managers, technical experts, design engineers, clients, supply chain partners, contractors, planners, and various stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes and community benefits.
At Responsum Global Ltd, we are committed to fostering professional growth and development. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to mentor and guide junior team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge.
Candidate Profile
The successful applicant will be a Chartered or Incorporated Mechanical Engineer with the IMechE (or actively pursuing Chartership) and possess substantial experience in mechanical design, preferably within the water sector.
You should have a strong background in generating technical specifications, pump sizing, hydraulic calculations, schedules, DEAR assessments, and reports, along with familiarity in collaborative design reviews and solution development.
Your expertise will extend to providing engineering insights for collaborative design outputs, including General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.
To excel in this position, you must demonstrate excellent communication skills, enabling you to deliver technical presentations to clients and fellow design engineers, as well as actively participate in collaborative design discussions, technical workshops, HAZOPs, and ALMs.
A solid understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes is essential, along with experience in evaluating existing site infrastructure to inform and execute mechanical design solutions. We are also interested in candidates with mechanical engineering experience in the energy, infrastructure, and environmental sectors.
