Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Operations and Event Management to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering complex event plans, managing direct reports, and ensuring the smooth execution of events across the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement event plans, including traffic management, security, and crowd control.
- Manage a team of operations staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to ensure excellent performance.
- Collaborate with other function heads to anticipate future operational needs and manage resources efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including Chapter 8 traffic signs manual, Green Guide, and Purple Guides.
- Manage the welfare, safety, and morale of our front-line workforce.
- Work closely with the training department to ensure all casual workforce have a training pathway to ensure compliance with stewarding and traffic management guidance.
- Provide detailed and accurate reports to management, highlighting areas of concern and escalating any future challenges or risks.
- Protect sensitive personal data, ensuring it is handled in full compliance with GDPR requirements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in an operational/events environment.
- 5+ years' experience in line management, with a proven track record of effective coaching and mentoring.
- L4 Spectator Safety desirable.
- SIA DS license desirable.
- Lantra 12D M6 a must.
