Role Overview:
To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking a seasoned and strategic Logistics Operations Leader to oversee our established Purchasing team at Glasdon UK Limited.
The ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring the seamless flow of components from suppliers to clients.In this dynamic position, you will be instrumental in enhancing our logistics operations for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, while aligning with our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles.

Key Responsibilities:
Daily management and guidance within our active Purchasing department, including the analysis of logistics metrics such as costs, lead times, and service levels.
Formulate and execute detailed logistics strategies and process enhancements to improve supply chain capabilities and minimize environmental impact.
Implement sourcing strategies with both new and existing suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement of materials.
Regularly collaborate with, support, and audit current suppliers to ensure compliance with ethical sourcing practices and alignment with our UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Develop contingency plans for logistics and implement risk management programs.
Conduct demand forecasting and inventory management.
Negotiate with suppliers, cultivate supplier relationships, and oversee supplier performance.
Facilitate inter-departmental communication with relevant stakeholders.
Work collaboratively with internal teams including Research and Development, Product Design, Quality Assurance, and Sales.
Candidate Profile:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in logistics management, with a demonstrated ability to optimize processes and enhance efficiency.
A Bachelor's degree and/or qualification in CIPS (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) is preferred.
A proven track record of managing and leading teams.
A genuine interest in procurement practices.
A strong commitment to sustainability and customer-centric approaches.
Strategic understanding of logistics management.
