Exceptional Veterinary Team Opportunity

GVC is working closely with a highly respected independent veterinary practice in Coventry to find a dedicated and compassionate veterinarian to join their exceptional team. This practice is renowned for providing outstanding care and offers a supportive environment tailored to meet the needs of all vets, from recent graduates to those with decades of experience.

Support and Development

The practice ensures that all their vets receive personalized support and development opportunities. New graduates benefit from a designated VetGDP Adviser for daily guidance and access to the renowned XLVets Graduate Development Programme. For more experienced vets, mentoring is customized to individual needs, including practical in-house scanning sessions, theatre-scrub-ins, monthly clinical club discussion groups, and regular one-to-one chats.

Team and Facilities

The team of 15 vets includes several Certificate holders and specialists in areas such as imaging, surgery, medicine, dermatology, feline practice (Gold Cat Friendly), and ECC. The practice has recently expanded its facilities to include dedicated areas for two scanners and digital x-ray, a designated dental room with dental x-ray, and separate wards for cats, dogs, and isolated cases.

Work-Life Balance

The practice offers a genuinely flexible working environment with no night work required, as they've partnered with a local OOH provider for 20 years. Vets enjoy a balanced schedule with late evening shifts shared fairly and a Saturday rota of just 1 in 4. An experienced colleague is always scheduled alongside new or recent graduates to provide hands-on support.
