About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Practice Accountant to join our team at BK Plus. As a key member of our Accounting & Business Support department, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional accounting services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare year-end accounts for a variety of clients, including complex limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, using accounting software and adhering to generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare corporation tax computations and returns for review by senior managers, ensuring timely submission to HMRC.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare periodic management accounts for management information purposes, providing valuable insights to support business decisions.
  • Client Management: Manage a small portfolio of clients, providing exceptional support and guidance to ensure their financial needs are met.
  • Accounting Software Expertise: Utilize advanced accounting software to prepare financial statements, manage client data, and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Fully or part-qualified with a relevant technical qualification and at least 5 years' experience in practice, or Qualified By Experience (QBE) with at least 8 years' experience in practice and working to a high level.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using accounting software, including CCH and Sage, and strong knowledge of Excel.
  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business tax matters, financial regulations, and industry standards.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance and support to clients and colleagues.
