Role Overview:

We are seeking a Global Category Manager for our Finished Goods division. This pivotal position within our Global Procurement team is designed for a strategic thinker who can drive a culture of high performance and set benchmarks for Procurement Excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the comprehensive Global Category Management for finished goods in medical devices across Convatec's External Manufacturing Procurement.
  • Formulate long-term strategic plans that align with evolving customer and business requirements.
  • Establish category strategies through collaboration with key stakeholders and suppliers to ensure optimal cost management and continuous improvement.
  • Manage critical supplier relationships to ensure alignment with business needs and capabilities.
  • Implement category plans that deliver significant value to the organization.
  • Oversee the Source to Contract (S2C) process, identifying opportunities and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Ensure supplier performance is continuously assessed and enhanced to meet changing demands.
  • Accountable for meeting ESG targets within your category.
  • May involve managing a Strategic Buyer to ensure timely execution of category strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a Strategic Procurement/Sourcing role, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, economics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Category Management principles with proven ability to develop and implement strategies.
  • Experience with e-procurement tools for vendor evaluation and selection.
  • Self-motivated with a strong ability to build stakeholder networks.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in negotiating with suppliers on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Able to influence stakeholders and promote innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
