For the Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic position, candidates should possess prior experience as an HGV Technician within a dealership or fleet maintenance setting.

Responsibilities of a Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic

  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance in accordance with DVSA standards.
  • Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
  • Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to health and safety requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
Skills and Qualifications of a Heavy Goods Vehicle Mechanic

  • Level 3 / City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician.
  • HGV license is advantageous.
