About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to join our corporate development team at SUEZ UK. As a Bid Writer, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality bid responses for new tenders, ensuring that our company is positioned as the lead bidder on quality and technical capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of 'standard' answers and templates for bid responses.
  • Identify ways to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of the bid response process.
  • Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals, ensuring they are presented in a professional and concise manner.
  • Review and revise documents prepared by others, coordinating the preparation of completed bid documents.
  • Determine the scope and timeline of new bids, leading and coordinating the preparation of bid responses.
  • Develop knowledge of business, its products, and services by reviewing previous bid and design documents and collaborating with pre-sales, technical, and commercial functions.
  • Develop a computer-based document store and reference materials.
  • Review and improve customer materials, developing a consistent set of standards for commercial functions to follow.
  • Develop standard templates for less complex bids.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate great team working skills, management, and communication skills, with a desire and tenacity to complete tasks in tight timescales.
  • Be educated to a degree level or equivalent, with at least one year of demonstrable work experience.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
