About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Product Review Specialist to join our team at Hearst UK. As a Product Review Specialist, you will play a critical role in helping us meet consumer demands and put products through their paces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research product categories and collaborate on testing procedures to ensure accurate and comprehensive results.
  • Develop and execute lab performance and consumer tests, analyze data, and write reports in a timely fashion.
  • Pitch and execute product tests, including idea generation, collaborating with stakeholders, and coordinating consumer testers.
  • Support product award programs, including assisting with submissions, reviewing applications, and evaluating products in the lab and with consumers.
  • Review products, claims, and manufacturer data, evaluating quality and efficacy, and assess and test these products for the Good Housekeeping Tried and Tested database.
Content Creation
  • Coordinate images and samples for photography.
  • Work collaboratively with other Good Housekeeping teams, including journalists and commercial teams.
  • Conduct Good Housekeeping Institute tours.
  • Answer reader inquiries and respond to product complaints.
  • Opportunity to create relevant how-to videos for social and digital channels.
  • Opportunity to serve as an expert resource in content for other Hearst titles, other media, and on-air.
Brand Promotion
  • Act as an ambassador to the Good Housekeeping brand, including being well-versed in product testing and Good Housekeeping history.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, current affairs, breaking news, key conferences, and general outreach.
About You
  • Desirable - Bachelor's degree in a science-related field, including but not limited to forensic, family or consumer sciences, chemistry, or engineering, or equivalent on-the-job experience.
  • Experience in consumer product testing, research, or development is desirable.
  • Excellent data analysis and prioritization skills.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Great communicator.
  • Strong self-initiative and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • An inquisitive, enthusiastic, and collaborative approach to work.
