Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Education Support Professional to join our team at Academics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a productive learning environment.
  • Ensure students complete assigned work and maintain a positive attitude towards learning.
  • Follow established behaviour management policies to promote student conduct and well-being.
  • Provide individual support to students as needed, fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to discuss cover work and any issues that arise during lessons.
  • Assist with other duties around the school, including exam invigilation and support during school events.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • A genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
