Messaging Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Messaging Engineer to join our team at Sanderson. As a key member of our infrastructure innovation team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our messaging and collaboration systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain Exchange servers, including mailbox databases, connectors, and transport rules.
  • Configure and troubleshoot mail flow, mailbox permissions, and distribution groups.
  • Monitor and optimize Exchange server performance and security.
  • Support Skype for Business services, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage user accounts, presence, and conferencing features.
  • Integrate Skype with Exchange and other collaboration tools.
  • Provide Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) administration and support.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Blackberry devices and services.
  • Ensure Blackberry services integrate effectively with messaging platforms.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in administering Microsoft Exchange (2013/2016/2019) and Skype for Business.
  • Familiarity with Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES) administration.
  • Strong understanding of email protocols, such as SMTP, IMAP, and POP.
  • Experience with email archiving solutions and compliance requirements.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory integration with messaging systems.
  • Knowledge of VMware (to the extent of working with VM Payloads) with NetApp SAN and Cohesity backups.
