About the RoleAs a Children's Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting. Your primary focus will be on promoting their independence, well-being, and safety, while also providing emotional and practical support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Support children and young people in all day-to-day activities and interests
- Promote independence and well-being through positive role modeling and guidance
- Attend weekend activities, holidays, and trips to support children and young people in their interests
- Provide emotional and practical support to children and young people in need
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care plans and guidelines
- Desire to create positive outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- Empathetic, caring, and resilient nature
- At least 6 months' experience of working with children or in a similar social care setting
- Valid UK driving license
- Current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
