Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Operational Quality Engineer within our Nacelles OE division. This position will report directly to the Quality Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert guidance to fitting and testing personnel to identify root causes of failures, enhancing diagnostic efficiency.
- Lead Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives to elevate the resolution of Product Quality issues, fostering a culture of ongoing enhancement.
- Compile comprehensive written reports to substantiate investigation findings, ensuring clarity and transparency in communication.
- Offer compelling evidence to support the implementation of technical warranty adjudication processes.
- Collaborate closely with the supplier quality team to ensure thorough investigation of externally sourced items, fostering strong partnerships.
- Contribute actively to achieving business objectives by providing unwavering support to the Quality team and clinic.
- Promote structured problem-solving methodologies, such as Root Cause Analysis, to systematically address issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate efforts to maintain continuous adherence to customer flowdown requirements, ensuring seamless compliance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of logical problem-solving methodologies.
- Proven ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in customer interactions.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Knowledge of FMEA and APQP tools.
- High level of computer literacy with industry-standard software.
- Comprehensive understanding of the general engineering process.
- Hands-on experience in applied engineering skills.
