Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Capital Projects team at the Andover site. The successful candidate will be responsible for all CAPEX investment for building 53, including project scope, costing, resources, and timings. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, as well as a good understanding of engineering practices and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the yearly CAPEX budget and 3-year roadmap, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act and ISO 9001.
  • Liaise and report to the corporate Engineering team on a monthly basis regarding project status and best practices.
  • Support the team with CAPEX projects that close out audit findings and CAPA as needed.
  • Lead internal and external visits/audits of the site with respect to CAPEX projects.
  • Support the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) pillars for Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Preventative Maintenance (PM).
  • Promote and sponsor TPM operational excellence, driving cultural change from an engineering perspective.
  • Participate in the management of the building, including actions within and outside of the individual's basic remit that impact the reputation, integrity, performance, and profitability of the SC building/team.
  • Support the Production Engineering team with activities such as updating site layouts, process improvement, and management of part availability and obsolescence.
  • Support the NPI (New Production Implementation) of new materials and equipment, including BOM and routing updates on SAP.

Requirements

  • Degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in production, process, or industrial engineering, leading CAPEX projects.
  • Good understanding of engineering practices and solutions.
  • Knowledge of TPM principles and methodology.
  • Able to work under their own initiative.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and man-management skills.
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Ability and willingness to be flexible with working hours at short notice.
  • Communicating and presenting data effectively.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety at work act, ISO 9001 regulations (experience with GMP would be ideal).
  • Leadership, strength of proposal, and conviction.
  • Capable of innovating and challenging the status quo.
  • Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP, EQMS, and AutoCAD.
