Job Title: Field Research Scientist

Join ADAS, a leading provider of sustainable agricultural solutions, as a Field Research Scientist. In this role, you will work on scientific projects for clients, including government agencies and progressive businesses, focusing on efficient food production and environmental issues in a sustainable industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver practical research for agricultural and horticultural crops, working in pathology, physiology, entomology, soils, and nutrients.
  • Develop technical expertise to deliver on-site trial work and implement applied research and knowledge exchange.
  • Manage projects to ensure key objectives and deadlines are met, maintaining high levels of scientific credibility and client satisfaction.
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues, collaborators, and industry partners to grow the business.
  • Support colleagues to ensure scientifically robust delivery.
Requirements:
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work with in-house and external training.
  • A full driving license to drive manual vehicles in the UK.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A progressive attitude with flexibility and willingness to take on a wide range of challenges.
  • Flexibility to travel within the UK and overseas.
  • Working knowledge and experience of farm machinery and PA1, PA2, PA4 & PA6 desirable, but training can be provided.
