Job Description

Candour Solutions is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Chapter, you will be responsible for driving DevOps principles and culture across our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and maintain pipelines for publishing code to Azure
  • Oversee and coach squads in intra-day deployments mechanisms
  • Drive DevOps principles and culture across the organization
  • Coach and influence engineers to DevOps maturity
  • Oversee and direct vendor DevOps and Infrastructure resources
  • Create and maintain Azure infrastructure across all environments
  • Propose and implement time-saving initiatives
  • Create and maintain monitoring at all levels (infrastructure, app, data)
  • Monitor issues and availability and ensure the correct escalation path is followed
  • Monitor performance and propose improvements
  • Implement auto-scaling of resources to meet the needs of the moment
  • Collaborate with all London Market Chapters
  • Help to commoditise cloud services where possible
  • Identify engineering limits, bottlenecks and tipping points before they're reached
Requirements
  • Experience setting up and working with Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Knowledge of Cloud native, microservices, containerized systems, preferably with Kubernetes
  • Strong desire for continuous improvement and an Agile way of working
  • Commercial hands-on software delivery, including either implementation and ongoing systems administration experience in a previous role using a variety of technologies, or, build and deployment engineering with modern practices
  • Sound experience in identifying, implementing and maintaining IT solutions / systems in regulated markets / industries
  • Knowledge and understanding of latest trends in DevOps methodologies, processes and tools, as well as emerging solutions and ability to apply them when appropriate
