Specialist Urologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist Urologist to join our Urology team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

• Support both inpatient and outpatient services, dividing time between the operating theatres, wards, day surgery unit, diagnostic centre, and clinics.
• Participate in the development and implementation of urological services, including surgery, endourology, and pelvic floor surgery.
• Collaborate with a team of consultants, middle grades, specialist nurses, and junior doctors to provide high-quality patient care.
• Contribute to the development and review of job plans, ensuring alignment with Trust objectives and clinical governance policies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest urological techniques and best practices.

• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice.
• Minimum 2-years' experience in a full-time or equivalent part-time role in Urology.
• Able to perform flexible cystoscopy independently.
• Desirable: FRCS (Urol) or FEBU, additional Urological certification in Urodynamics, and experience at specialty doctor or registrar level.
