Job Title: Principal Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team at AVENTA. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for leading electrical engineering projects and activities, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering projects, including concept, basic/FEED, and detail engineering, for oil and gas (on-shore and/or off-shore) projects.
  • Develop and implement electrical system designs, including power generation, distribution, and transmission systems.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of design teams to ensure timely completion of projects and adherence to technical standards and project schedules.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and assess electrical system performance.
  • Prepare and review technical specifications, datasheets, and requisitions for electrical equipment.
  • Coordinate with vendors and EPICs to ensure the delivery of high-quality electrical equipment and services.
  • Develop and maintain electrical system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and motor starting analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with IEC standards and other international electrical standards, best practices, and value practices.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in technical and team leadership within a project environment, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
  • Technical competence in all aspects of electrical engineering, including power generation, distribution, and transmission.
  • Experience in concept, basic/FEED, and detail engineering projects for oil and gas (on-shore and/or off-shore) projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language and ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with a Master's degree desirable.
  • Chartered Engineer status desirable.
