Exciting Opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer

Probe UK is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a well-respected manufacturing business. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing proactive and reactive maintenance activities across our manufacturing facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical engineering, with experience in machine tool maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems. You will be qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent and have a proven track record of installing new equipment, diagnosing faults, and ensuring effective procurement of spare parts.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Installing new equipment on site to the required standards and specifications.
  2. Diagnosing faults on plant and equipment as required and establishing methods for rectification.
  3. Ensuring any relevant start-up procedures are performed following the repair of any plant or equipment.
  4. Ensuring any mechanical or electrical work is carried out within the level of competence.
  5. Ensuring effective procurement of any spare part requirements, including communication with suppliers and the raising of purchase orders.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience with machine tool maintenance, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
