Audit Senior Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Audit Senior to join our dynamic audit team at Reed. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with auditing standards, and providing valuable insights to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans to identify areas of improvement.
  3. Perform detailed audit testing and document findings, providing actionable recommendations to clients.
  4. Review and evaluate internal controls and financial reporting systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  5. Prepare and present audit reports to senior management and clients, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  6. Supervise and mentor junior audit staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
  7. Stay up-to-date with changes in auditing standards and regulations, applying this knowledge to improve audit processes and procedures.
  8. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored audit services.
  9. Assist in the development and implementation of audit methodologies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and efficient.
Qualifications:
  1. Must be either ACCA or ACA Qualified, with a strong understanding of auditing standards and regulations.
  2. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in auditing, preferably in an accounting firm, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
  4. Proficient in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite, with the ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
  5. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering results and exceeding expectations.
