Maintenance Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a leading global brand within a progressive business. As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of all production equipment, ensuring that any issues are rectified promptly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct fault-finding and repair of mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Participate in planned preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Liaise with external contractors and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Contribute to capital expenditure and continuous improvement projects to drive business growth and efficiency.
- Ensure all equipment meets company and legal health and safety requirements, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
- Communicate unscheduled downtime to the Site Head Engineer and provide solutions to minimize disruption.
- Adhere to good manufacturing practice and maintain a high level of work ethic in all aspects of the role.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in production lines, machinery, and operations, contributing to the company's continuous improvement culture.
- Time-served Engineer with an engineering certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in fault-finding, repair, and general maintenance of machinery, hydraulics, electrics, and production-associated systems.
- Production environment experience essential, preferably in a FMCG organization.
- Competent to attempt most aspects of mechanical and electrical engineering with minimal supervision.
- Experience with control systems, finding potential faults, and reading schematic drawings.
- Able to diagnose faults quickly and accurately, with a strong understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics.
