Corporate Lawyer

We are seeking an accomplished Corporate Solicitor at Legal Director level to join our team at Shakespeare Martineau. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with ambition and drive to be a fundamental part of our ambitious plans for the future.

• Handle a wide range of corporate work, including corporate transactions, employee ownership, shareholder agreements, and joint venture agreements.
• Work closely with clients to provide fast, pragmatic, and commercial advice.
• Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and develop relationships with current clients.
• Assist on tender pitches and development opportunities.
• Develop client relationships, hold meetings, and get to know clients and their businesses.
• Assist and supervise more junior fee earners, delegate appropriate work to paralegals, and support more senior team members on large complex matters.

• A minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience working in corporate law.
• A proven ability to generate new business in a professional services environment.
• Ability to manage workload, delegate tasks, and request additional input to provide the best client service.
• Understanding of clients as business partners and the importance of knowing their key needs in a legal team.
• Ambition, leadership capability, and vision to work as a team to grow the business.
• Ability to bring a client following, which would be advantageous and reflected in the level of seniority.
