**Job Summary**

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Site Director to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective management of patients across our acute hospital trust.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies to improve patient flow and bed management, ensuring compliance with national standards and organisational policies.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Business Manager to ensure the safe and effective management of patients, including non-elective, elective, and transfer-in patients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including clinicians, managers, and external partners, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to clinical staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all patients receive high-quality care, in accordance with agreed local and national standards, and within organisational policies and protocols.

**Requirements**

  • Appropriate Professional Registration (NMC)
  • Degree in Nursing (or significant experience with supporting portfolio of evidence)
  • Evidence of continuous professional development or development in areas of speciality
  • Management qualification
  • Fire Marshall Training
  • Substantial post-registration experience within an acute hospital trust
  • Substantial experience working in patient flow/Bed Management
  • Understanding of implications of National Targets, in particular four-hour Emergency Department Standard and relevant bed management
  • Substantial experience at band 6 level
  • Emergency Clinical Quality Standards
  • Experience of working within other areas of nursing
  • Major Incident Management and Business Continuity awareness
