Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to join our team in Cookstown. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for managing and motivating production operators to ensure targets are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Management: Manage team leads to ensure all objectives of their departments/areas are met.
  • Staff Rostering: Manage staff rosters daily to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Production Reporting: Send daily production reports to ensure timely and accurate data.
  • Machine Performance: Monitor machine/operator performance against targets and address any issues with staff/maintenance.
  • Operator Motivation: Manage and motivate production operators to ensure targets are met/exceeded.
  • Recording and Reporting: Record hourly output figures and other machine data on provided sheets.
  • Shift Supervision: Lead shiftly supervisor rounds to ensure smooth operations.
  • Attendance and Training: Monitor attendance levels and report any issues, ensuring staff training cards are up to date.
  • Product Scheduling: Liaise with dispatch, distribution, and in-check departments to determine product lines required and schedule work accordingly.
  • Break Times and Machinery: Manage staff and break times to ensure lines are covered and relevant machinery is kept running to meet orders/deadlines.
  • Rags and Rewash: Manage rags and rewash items and ensure all are recorded on provided sheets.
  • Health and Safety: Be proactive on health and safety, identifying and reporting safety observations and near misses.
  • Grievances and Investigations: Handle grievances and investigations with the HR department as requested.
  • Facility Standards: Ensure facility standards and housekeeping are maintained to audit standards at all times.
  • Quality Documentation: Maintain quality documentation control and correct where required to a best-in-class standard demanded by high-tech and pharmaceutical customers.

Key Skills

  • Production Experience: Experience in a production environment and quality systems.
  • Organisation and Attention to Detail: Good organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solving and Multitasking: Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks as required.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels in the business.
