Management Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our Finance team in Harwich. As a key member of the team, you will play a pivotal role in financial and accounting processes, ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities within the company.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare monthly Trial balance and support in the preparation of management accounts to strict deadlines.
  2. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and cashbook reconciliations, handling non-trade and foreign currency payments.
  3. Manage month-end journals and support Sales and Purchase ledger operations.
  4. Handle complete monthly payroll, support weekly payroll tasks, and manage year-end returns and P11D's.
  5. Support audit, statutory accounts, and corporation tax processes.
  6. Analyse revenue, costs, and project spend to support the management team.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  1. AAT qualified with training support for CIMA/ACCA.
  2. At least 3 years of experience within a financial environment.
  3. Strong experience in Management reporting and financial analysis.
  4. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, pivot tables, etc.).
  5. Flexible, determined, with strong communication skills.
  6. Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented, and capable of managing improvement projects within deadlines.
  7. Open, honest, and driven with high energy and leadership qualities.
