Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Consultant to join our team at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert radiology services, including interpreting imaging studies and developing treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of radiology protocols and procedures.
  • Contribute to the education and training of radiology residents and fellows.
Requirements
  • MB BS or equivalent medical degree.
  • Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists.
  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • MD or equivalent research degree.
  • Other higher degree or diploma in a relevant field.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Wide experience of all aspects of radiology, including multislice CT and MRI.
  • Fellowship in a specialist area of Radiology.
  • Experience in day-to-day organisation of radiology services in a busy hospital radiology department.
  • Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of Clinical Governance, risk assessment, adverse incident recording, and appraisal.
Personal Qualities and Attributes
  • Effective communicator, able to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Ability to work with colleagues in other specialties to develop local services.
  • Professional attitude towards work, with a good record of attendance.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
