Nursery Chef/ House Keeper

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Chef/ House Keeper to join our team at Nuffield Health. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for managing the kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Production and Development: Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of our nursery children, using fresh and high-quality ingredients.
- Team Management: Lead and train a team of kitchen staff to ensure they are equipped to produce healthy and nutritious food and drinks.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our nursery children, parents, and staff, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Inventory Management: Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
- Health and Safety: Maintain high levels of health and safety standards in the kitchen, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Menu Planning and Development: Plan and develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of our nursery children, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences.
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong background in food production and development.
- Qualifications: NVQ in food production or similar, with a strong understanding of nutrition and food safety.
- Skills: Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
