Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm or BPharm) or BSc in Pharmacy
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician
  • At least 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy environment within the UK
  • Demonstrated skills in team leadership, mentoring, and financial management
  • Strong organizational, planning, and risk assessment capabilities
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with GPhC Codes of Conduct, Care Standards Act, and CQC Requirements

Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor Responsibilities:
  • Manage the safe and effective use of medications for oncology patients
  • Ensure all prescribing activities utilize the hospital's electronic systems
  • Prompt initiation of new treatment protocols
  • Promote evidence-based medicine and best practices in oncology
  • Provide expert guidance on medication management and prescribing
  • Inspire and lead the pharmacy team within the oncology department
  • Engage with the hospital's multidisciplinary oncology team
  • Develop and implement prescribing guidelines and oncology policies
  • Educate staff and patients regarding prescribed medications and their administration
