General Manager Opportunity at Menzies Distribution

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our Newstrade team at our Maidstone Hub. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to develop a constantly improving service, understanding their needs and supply chain structure.
  • Sales and Business Development: Participate in the sales process, defining services, negotiating contracts, and building close working relationships with customers to deliver budgeted profit expectations.
  • Financial Management: Participate in financial reviews, ensuring adherence to budgetary targets and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Set clear goals and targets for direct reports, recognize good performance, and professionally manage poor performance.
  • Health and Safety: Promote a culture of safe working, adhering to the Company's Health & Safety Manual.
  • Quality and Performance: Ensure adherence to Key Performance Indicators and quality targets within approved budgetary constraints.
