Job Summary:
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is currently seeking a skilled Fettling Operative to join our client's team in the Medway area. This is a full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail and manual dexterity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate band saws to process metal parts
- Process parts in accordance with relevant technique cards and works instructions
- Perform manual handling tasks, including moving boxes of castings around the factory
Requirements:
- Correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Knowledge of chemicals used in the department, as stipulated in the COSHH assessment and Material Safety Data Sheets
- Clear understanding and awareness of relevant risk assessments
