Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of site teams and ensure successful project execution for various works including kerbing, paving, drainage, and patching.
  • Provide expert guidance on highways management to ensure project objectives are met effectively.
  • Support the management of both internal and external teams to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
  • Implement effective planning and programming to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Achieve and improve upon Company and Contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate career development and competency for site teams.
  • Ensure compliance with training qualifications and competence monitoring for all team members.
  • Adhere to CDM regulations and ensure safety standards are maintained across all operations.
  • Promote environmental best practices throughout the project.
  • Travel across the designated work region as required.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in a similar supervisory role within the Highways or Surfacing industry.
  • Strong understanding of on-site Health and Safety policies.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Experience in Surfacing/Highways Maintenance at a supervisory level.
  • Possession of a valid CSCS card and SMSTS certificate.
  • Flexibility in location and working patterns to meet business needs.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • First Aid and Mental Health First Aid training.
  • IOSH training.
