Job Description

Our company, Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd, is seeking a highly skilled Trade Support Specialist to join our team. As a member of our Exchange Clearing Team, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day clearing and exchange reconciliation tasks, while also being involved in a variety of projects and initiatives aimed at process improvements.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Perform T+1 exchange reconciliations, including troubleshooting and break resolution.
  • Manage trader/market/trading platform on- and offboarding.
  • Ensure trades are booked in a timely manner and reflected in our ETRM systems accurately.
  • Manage trade lifecycle related events.
  • Perform daily margin related tasks, including initial margin scenario modeling.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks and project work as assigned.
  • Document and maintain documentation of the Exchange Clearing processes as needed.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams, exchanges, and clearing brokers to optimize trading costs.

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commodities (European Power and Gas, LNG, Crude Oil, and Refined products) or exchange clearing.
  • Experience handling large datasets.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of operational risks and controls.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong technical skills, including Excel, VBA, formulas, and lookups, pivot tables.
  • Good prioritization and time management skills.
