Automation Engineer Job Description

Are you a skilled Automation Engineer looking for a new challenge? This role requires a strong engineer with a proven track record in automation, particularly with Siemens and Rockwell systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support for instrumentation and electrical control applications.
  • Analyse and implement required upgrades or projects in relation to the instrumentation and electrical control applications.
  • Support the daily activities of the maintenance teams and assist in shut-downs and investment projects.
  • Program, monitor, and modify PLC and DCS control logic.
  • Troubleshoot PLC, DCS, and relay control systems.
  • Participate in the emergency on-call roster.
  • Foster safe working principles throughout the plant.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
  • Ability to read advanced electrical drawings.
  • PLC experience including Siemens S5 and Rockwell knowledge.
  • Ability to work with robots, teaching and programming.
Benefits:
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM working hours.
  • Basic salary of GBP50,000 depending on experience.
  • 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Company pension and death in service benefit.
