Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Premix Production Department as a key member of our team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks on fully automatic batching plant and packing machines, ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks on automated equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop safety protocols to mitigate potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and resolve equipment issues, minimizing production disruptions.
  • Manage and maintain all mechanical jobs and maintenance records on our maintenance management system.
  • Schedule work and order parts within budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Perform defined work in accordance with our company's SHEQ requirements, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Record relevant job history and enter accurate time recording for all tasks.
  • Complete all relevant paperwork and documentation.

Requirements

  • Time-served Mechanical tradesman with an ONC or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an automated environment, with a proven track record of technical competence and fault-finding skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a flexible approach and ability to work independently.
  • Experience with Ultimo maintenance management system is highly desirable.
