Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain detailed economic models to forecast energy market trends and provide commercial advice to support business decisions.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of market data and trends to identify opportunities and risks for SSE's asset portfolios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement commercial strategies that drive business growth and profitability.
- Provide expert advice on market economics, including power purchase agreements and imbalance costs, to support business development and asset optimization.
- Proven experience in data analytics, economic modeling, and commercial analysis, with a strong understanding of energy market economics.
- Excellent Excel skills, with experience of using tools such as Databricks, Power BI, and Python.
- Demonstrable commercial awareness and ability to communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
