Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our Firmware Design team in Brighton. In this role, you will collaborate with various development disciplines to design and enhance firmware for our innovative products, ensuring the creation of scalable and optimized embedded software solutions.
- Translate project requirements into effective firmware solutions for our range of wireless products.
- Develop and modify firmware architectures utilizing technologies such as embedded Linux, ARM Cortex, RTOS, BLE, Zigbee, and more.
- Work closely with Electronics, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams to propose solutions and identify potential risks.
- Interface with Application Software to enhance product performance and provide support throughout the production process.
- Design, test, and debug existing firmware products.
- Communicate progress and challenges with clear technical updates to project teams.
- Participate in technical discussions and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Relay technical changes to the team and assist colleagues in their tasks.
- Adhere to company design processes and procedures.
- Evaluate the suitability of third-party and open-source software.
Candidate Profile
- Exceptional collaboration, communication, and decision-making abilities.
- Hands-on experience with Embedded Systems and a proven track record in a similar position.
- Proficient in Agile methodologies, relevant IDEs (such as Keil Studio, Eclipse, Visual Studio), and programming languages (C, C++, and Python).
