Financial Assistant Opportunity

Talentedge is seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistant to join their team. As a key member of the Accounts Department, this role will play a crucial part in the company's continued growth and success.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts, ensuring timely and accurate completion. This will involve:

  • Completing weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to guarantee all balances are known and correct
  • Reconciling Sales DOC daily to ensure accuracy
  • Updating daily estimates versus actuals to provide a clear picture of the company's financial performance
  • Posting and allocating bonus debts in a timely manner
  • Optimizing the company's financial systems to ensure efficient use
  • Supervising the Purchase ledger and ensuring all invoices are processed promptly
  • Supervising the sales ledger and ensuring all debts are collected
  • Communicating effectively with department managers and providing financial support as required
  • Preparing daily cash flow forecasts to inform business decisions
  • Covering weekly forecasts in the absence of the Financial Controller

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar level Assistant Accountant / Senior Finance Assistant role
  • AAT part qualified (Final Level) or qualified
  • An excellent team player with a keen eye for detail
  • Confident in the use of Excel and able to learn new systems quickly
