We are in search of a talented individual to become a part of our plasma operations division at Tokamak Energy, a pioneering fusion energy organization. This role offers the chance to engage with innovative technologies aimed at transforming the energy sector.
Position SummaryWe are actively looking for a Control Engineer or Plasma Physicist to aid in the advancement and management of our plasma control framework. The successful applicant will engage in modeling, testing, and evaluating experiments on our tokamak devices, as well as collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement modeling tools for plasma control
- Oversee and manage the Pulse Scheduling System and Plasma Control System
- Assist in the planning and execution of experiments
- Contribute to the creation of sophisticated control solutions
- Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals
- Advanced degree in plasma control, control engineering, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in control theory and modeling software
- Understanding of fusion plasma physics and/or tokamak experimentation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Capability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
