Overview


Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the Treasury operations for the UK and Ireland, which includes reporting, cash and currency forecasting, repatriation, and financing activities for the UK and Irish divisions.


You will also be in charge of managing the Cash Centre UK's ledgers, ensuring accuracy in all period-end reporting and analysis, pension forecasting for the UK, and the annual planning cycle.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the UK Tax & Stats team in delivering Financial Statements and Corporation Tax reporting for the UK and Ireland.
  • Oversee currency and cash forecasting for the UK and Ireland, as well as intercompany lending to enhance cash management efficiency.
  • Manage strategic financing and cash repatriation, ensuring timely payments, compliance with lender requirements, and effective communication with UK directors and lenders.
  • Control and manage banking relationships for the UK and Irish legal entities, ensuring that banking services meet the evolving needs of the units.
  • Supervise the Cash Centre UK's ledgers, integrating with the service finance organization, conducting balance sheet reviews, and managing period-end reporting and submissions.
  • Collaborate with Global Treasury to ensure accurate accounting for the UK Pension Promise and manage the financing of UK Benefits Promises.
  • Lead the UK Treasury team, responsible for designing and implementing controls and governance for UK and Irish treasury operations, establishing best practices, and sharing continuous improvements.
  • Mentor and motivate two Treasury team members.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for Corporation Tax reporting for the Mars UK group and assist with UK Corporation Tax reporting and payments.
  • Compile supporting schedules for UK Financial Statements and assist with the impairment review of subsidiaries.
Key Skills and Experience:
  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience or 6 years of finance experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prioritize and manage high volumes of work while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in managing small projects.
  • Familiarity with Transactional Accounting & Closing Processes.
  • Working knowledge of Cash Management.
  • Proficient in Accounting Information Systems & Digital Technologies.
