Job Opportunity:

LDH La Doria Ltd is seeking a skilled Food Technologist to join our Technical team. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with NPD Managers, Technical Managers, Specification Technologists, and the Packaging team to ensure product development, production, and provisions meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day support to Technical Managers, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Monitor critical path management processes, ensuring deadlines are met and all parties are informed.
  • Support preparation for SCAMR's, Consistency Panels, and customer sampling sessions, including sample collection and paperwork completion.
  • Communicate extensively with suppliers and customers on technical information, ensuring seamless collaboration.
  • Collate and review technical information for retailers and sites, including nutritional data, allergens, site details, specification compliance, and audit conformance.
  • Gather and assist in KPI reporting to relevant retailers, providing valuable insights.
  • Attend customer visits, first productions, and supply sites as required, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Conduct site audits and produce accurate factory audit reports, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Assist Technical Managers in closing out non-conformances raised during audits, ensuring compliance.
  • Develop and manage specifications within the department, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Review and examine sample submissions forms with NPD, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Trend nutritional analysis and report findings, providing valuable insights.
  • Support the LDH benchmarking plan with NPD, driving continuous improvement.
  • Packaging and sending samples on behalf of Technical Managers to customers and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers through efficient communication.
  • Communicate effectively with technical staff and traders to underpin customer and supplier relationships.
  • Ensure projects are run to the critical path, implementing deadlines within the business.
  • Meet customer requirements for factories, safety, legal, and good quality standards.
  • Support Technical Managers as required, providing additional expertise.
